Psalm 91:1,2
1 He that dwelleth in the secret
place of the most High shall abide
under the shadow of the Almighty.
2 I will say of the Lord, He is my
refuge and my fortress: my God; in him
will I trust.
Psalm 23:3
3 He restoreth my soul: he leadeth
me in the paths of righteousness for
his name's sake.

Jeremiah 31:3,11,12
3 The Lord hath appeared of old
unto me, saying, Yea, I have loved
thee with an everlasting love:
therefore with lovingkindness have I
drawn thee.
11 For the Lord hath redeemed
Jacob, and ransomed him from the hand
of him that was stronger than he.
12 Therefore they shall come and
sing in the height of Zion, and shall
flow together to the goodness of the
Lord, for wheat, and for wine, and
for oil, and for the young of the
flock and of the herd: and their soul
shall be as a watered garden; and
they shall not sorrow any more at

Matthew 11:29
29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn
of me; for I am meek and lowly in
heart: and ye shall find rest unto
your souls.

458:32-8 Chapter 13: Teaching Christian Science

Chapter 13: Teaching Christian Science
Divine Science encompassing the universe and man;...

Christian Unity (2)

As in blest Palestina's hour,
So in our age,
'T is the same hand unfolds His power,
And writes the page.

And lead us not into temptation,
 but deliver us from evil.

Cardinal point 4 - Column 4 - Extended

(Advancement by sacrifice)
Christianity causes men to turn naturally from matter to Spirit,
as the flower turns from darkness to light. Man then appropriates
those things which "eye hath not seen nor ear heard." Paul and
John had a clear apprehension that, as mortal man achieves no
worldly honors except by sacrifice, so he must gain heavenly
riches by forsaking all worldliness. Then he will have nothing in
common with the worldling's affections, motives, and aims.

548:2 Chapter 15: Genesis

Chapter 15: Genesis
Divine Science encompassing the universe and man;...

The Way

No blight, no broken wing, no moan,
Truth's fane can dim;
Eternal swells Christ's music-tone,
In heaven's hymn.

For Thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever.

Cardinal point 2 - Column 4 - Extended

(Scriptural perception)
Christian Science separates error from truth, and breathes
through the sacred pages the spiritual sense of life, substance,
and intelligence. In this Science, we discover man in the image
and likeness of God. We see that man has never lost his spiritual
estate and his eternal harmony.

481:2 Chapter 14: Recapitulation

Chapter 14: Recapitulation
Divine Science encompassing the universe and man;...

Truth versus error

To-day, as oft, away from sin
Christ summons thee!
Truth pleads to-night: Just take Me in!
No mass for Me!

God leadeth us not into temptation, but delivereth us from sin, disease, and death.

Cardinal point 3 - Column 4 - Extended

Question 16. - Does brain think, and do nerves feel, and is
there intelligence in matter?

ADAM = A product of nothing as the mimicry of something.

(Vapor and nothingness)
Man is tributary to God, Spirit, and to nothing else. God's
being is infinity, freedom, harmony, and boundless bliss. "Where
the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty." Like the
archpriests of yore, man is free "to enter into the holiest," -
the realm of God.
