- Section 1 -

Job 14:1,2
1 Man that is born of a woman is
of few days, and full of trouble.
2 He cometh forth like a flower,
and is cut down: he fleeth also as a
shadow, and continueth not.

Psalm 103:15-18
15 As for man, his days are as
grass: as a flower of the field, so
he flourisheth.
16 For the wind passeth over it,
and it is gone; and the place thereof
shall know it no more.
17 But the mercy of the Lord is
from everlasting to everlasting upon
them that fear him, and his
righteousness unto children's
18 To such as keep his covenant,
and to those that remember his
commandments to do them.

Ecclesiastes 2:21
21 For there is a man whose labour
is in wisdom, and in knowledge, and in
equity; yet to a man that hath not
laboured therein shall he leave it
for his portion. This also is vanity
and a great evil.

191:24 Chapter 7: Physiology

Chapter 7: Physiology
The rights of woman acknowledged
morally, civilly, and socially.

Christmas Morn

Yet wherefore signalize the birth
Of him ne'er born?
What can rehearse the glorious worth
Of his high morn?

Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.

Cardinal point 2 - Column 2 - Extended

(Spiritual freedom)
The Science of being reveals man and immortality as based on
Spirit. Physical sense defines mortal man as based on matter, and
from this premise infers the mortality of the body.

190:14 Chapter 7: Physiology

(Human frailty)
Human birth, growth, maturity, and decay are as the grass
springing from the soil with beautiful green blades, afterwards to
wither and return to its native nothingness. This mortal seeming
is temporal; it never merges into immortal being, but finally
disappears, and immortal man, spiritual and eternal, is found to be
the real man.

552:13-17 Chapter 15: Genesis

Chapter 15: Genesis
Divine Science encompassing the universe and man;...

The Way

No blight, no broken wing, no moan,
Truth's fane can dim;
Eternal swells Christ's music-tone,
In heaven's hymn.

For Thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever.

Cardinal point 2 - Column 4 - Extended

(Emergence of mortals)
Human experience in mortal life, which starts from an egg,
corresponds with that of Job, when he says, "Man that is born of a
woman is of few days, and full of trouble." Mortals must emerge
from this notion of material life as all-in-all.

259:22 Chapter 9: Creation

Chapter 9: Creation
Divine Science understood and acknowledged.

Christian Science Healing (2)

Forever present, bounteous, free,
Christ comes in gloom;
And aye, with grace towards you and me,
For health makes room.

Give us this day our daily bread.

Cardinal point 4 - Column 3 - Extended

(Immortal models)
Mortal thought transmits its own images, and forms its offspring
after human illusions. God, Spirit, works spiritually, not
materially. Brain or matter never formed a human concept.
Vibration is not intelligence; hence it is not a creator.
Immortal ideas, pure, perfect, and enduring, are transmitted by the
divine Mind through divine Science, which corrects error with
truth and demands spiritual thoughts, divine concepts, to the end
that they may produce harmonious results.
