- Section 3 -

Genesis 5:3
3 #And Adam lived an hundred and
thirty years, and begat a son in his
own likeness, after his image; and
called his name Seth:
Genesis 6:1,2,3,5,11
1 And it came to pass, when men
began to multiply on the face of the
earth, and daughters were born unto
2 That the sons of God saw the
daughters of men that they were fair;
and they took them wives of all which
they chose.
3 And the Lord said, My spirit
shall not always strive with man, for
that he also is flesh: yet his days
shall be an hundred and twenty years.

5 #And God saw that the wickedness
of man was great in the earth, and
that every imagination of the
thoughts of his heart was only evil
11 The earth also was corrupt
before God, and the earth was filled
with violence.

Psalm 53:2,3
2 God looked down from heaven upon
the children of men, to see if there
were any that did understand, that
did seek God.
3 Every one of them is gone back:
they are altogether become filthy;
there is none that doeth good, no,
not one.

Christian Science Healing (2)

Forever present, bounteous, free,
Christ comes in gloom;
And aye, with grace towards you and me,
For health makes room.

Give us this day our daily bread.

Cardinal point 4 - Column 3 - Extended

(No new creation)
There can be but one creator, who has created all.
The multiplication of a human and mortal sense of persons and
things is not creation. A sensual thought, like an atom of dust
thrown into the face of spiritual immensity, is dense blindness
instead of a scientific eternal consciousness of creation.

320:8 Chapter 10: Science of Being

Chapter 10: Science of Being
Divine Science understood and acknowledged.

I thank Thee O Father,...

Thus olden faith's pale star now blends
In seven-hued white!
Life, without birth and without end,
Emitting light!

Give us grace for to-day;
feed the famished affections.

(Interior meaning)
In Smith's Bible Dictionary it is said: "The spiritual
interpretation of Scripture must rest upon both the literal and
moral;" and in the learned article on Noah in the same work, the
familiar text, Genesis vi. 3, "And the Lord said, My spirit shall
not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh," is quoted
as follows, from the original Hebrew: "And Jehovah said, My spirit
shall not forever rule [or be humbled] in men, seeing that they
are [or, in their error they are] but flesh." Here the original
text declares plainly the spiritual fact of being, even man's
eternal and harmonious existence as image, idea, instead of matter
(however transcendental such a thought appears), and avers that
this fact is not forever to be humbled by the belief that man is
flesh and matter, for according to that error man is mortal.

306:32 Chapter 10: Science of Being

(The serpent's whisper)
The parent of all human discord was the Adam-dream, the deep
sleep, in which originated the delusion that life and intelligence
proceeded from and passed into matter. This pantheistic error, or
so-called serpent, insists still upon the opposite of Truth,
saying, "Ye shall be as gods;" that is, I will make error as real
and eternal as Truth.
