Revelation 22:11
11 He that is unjust, let him be
unjust still: and he which is filthy,
let him be filthy still: and he that
is righteous, let him be righteous
still: and he that is holy, let him
be holy still.

James 1:21,22
21 Wherefore lay apart all
filthiness and superfluity of
naughtiness, and receive with
meekness the engrafted word, which is
able to save your souls.
22 But be ye doers of the word, and
not hearers only, deceiving your own

Matthew 5:8
8 Blessed are the pure in heart:
for they shall see God.

409:28 Chapter 12: Christian Science Practice

Chapter 12: Christian Science Practice
Divine Science understood and acknowledged.

Christian Unity (1)

For Christian Science brings to view
The great I Am,-
Omniscient power,- gleaming through
Mind, mother, man.

And Love is reflected in love.

Cardinal point 1 - Column 3 - Extended

(Death no benefactor)
We cannot spend our days here in ignorance of the Science of
Life, and expect to find beyond the grave a reward for this
ignorance. Death will not make us harmonious and immortal as a
recompense for ignorance. If here we give no heed to Christian
Science, which is spiritual and eternal, we shall not be ready for
spiritual Life hereafter.

291:1 Chapter 10: Science of Being

Chapter 10: Science of Being
Divine Science understood and acknowledged.

I thank Thee O Father,...

Thus olden faith's pale star now blends
In seven-hued white!
Life, without birth and without end,
Emitting light!

Give us grace for to-day;
feed the famished affections.

Cardinal point 3 - Column 3 - Extended

(Sin is punished)
The suppositions that sin is pardoned while unforsaken, that
happiness can be genuine in the midst of sin, that the so-called
death of the body frees from sin, and that God's pardon is aught
but the destruction of sin, - these are grave mistakes. We know
that all will be changed "in the twinkling of an eye," when the
last trump shall sound; but this last call of wisdom cannot come
till mortals have already yielded to each lesser call in the
growth of Christian character. Mortals need not fancy that belief
in the experience of death will awaken them to glorified being.

39:10 Chapter 2: Atonement and Eucharist

Chapter 2: Atonement and Eucharist
The love of the good and beautiful, and their immortality.

Christ Healing (1)

In tender mercy, Spirit sped
A loyal ray
To rouse the living, wake the dead,
And point the Way -

Our Father-Mother God, all-harmonious.

Cardinal point 3 - Column 1 - Extended

(A belief suicidal)
The educated belief that Soul is in the body causes mortals to
regard death as a friend, as a stepping-stone out of mortality
into immortality and bliss. The Bible calls death an enemy, and
Jesus overcame death and the grave instead of yielding to them. He
was "the way." To him, therefore, death was not the threshold
over which he must pass into living glory.
