Matthew 9:20-22,35
20 #And, behold, a woman, which was
diseased with an issue of blood
twelve years, came behind him, and
touched the hem of his garment:
21 For she said within herself, If
I may but touch his garment, I shall
be whole.
22 But Jesus turned him about, and
when he saw her, he said, Daughter, be
of good comfort; thy faith hath made
thee whole. And the woman was made
whole from that hour.
35 And Jesus went about all the
cities and villages, teaching in
their synagogues, and preaching the
gospel of the kingdom, and healing
every sickness and every disease
among the people.

Luke 9:1,2,6
1 Then he called his twelve
disciples together, and gave them
power and authority over all devils,
and to cure diseases.
2 And he sent them to preach the
kingdom of God, and to heal the sick.

6 And they departed, and went
through the towns, preaching the
gospel, and healing every where.

Treating the sick

The Way, the Truth, the Life - His word -
Are here, and now
Christ's silent healing, heaven heard,
Crowns the pale brow.

And forgive us our debts,
as we forgive our debtors.

Cardinal point 2 - Column 3 - Extended

(Example of the disciples)
Anciently those apostles who were Jesus' students, as well as
Paul who was not one of his students, healed the sick and reformed
the sinner by their religion.

348:3-13 Chapter 11: Some Objections Answered

(Essential element of Christianity)
Medical theories virtually admit the nothingness of
hallucinations, even while treating them as disease; and who
objects to this? Ought we not, then, to approve any cure, which
is effected by making the disease appear to be - what it really is
- an illusion?
(All disease a delusion)
Here is the difficulty: it is not generally understood how one
disease can be just as much a delusion as another. It is a pity
that the medical faculty and clergy have not learned this, for
Jesus established this foundational fact, when devils, delusions,
were cast out and the dumb spake.

417:20 Chapter 12: Christian Science Practice

Chapter 12: Christian Science Practice
Divine Science understood and acknowledged.

Christian Unity (1)

For Christian Science brings to view
The great I Am,-
Omniscient power,- gleaming through
Mind, mother, man.

And Love is reflected in love.

Cardinal point 1 - Column 3 - Extended

(Disease to be made unreal)
To the Christian Science healer, sickness is a dream from which
the patient needs to be awakened. Disease should not appear real
to the physician, since it is demonstrable that the way to cure the
patient is to make disease unreal to him. To do this, the
physician must understand the unreality of disease in Science.

474:24-2 Chapter 14: Recapitulation

Chapter 14: Recapitulation
Divine Science encompassing the universe and man;...

Truth versus error

To-day, as oft, away from sin
Christ summons thee!
Truth pleads to-night: Just take Me in!
No mass for Me!

God leadeth us not into temptation, but delivereth us from sin, disease, and death.

Cardinal point 3 - Column 4 - Extended

Question 13. - Is there no sin?
ADAM = The opposite of Spirit and His creations.

(Truth destroys falsity)
Despite the hallowing influence of Truth in the destruction of
error, must error still be immortal? Truth spares all that is
true. If evil is real, Truth must make it so; but error, not
Truth, is the author of the unreal, and the unreal vanishes, while
all that is real is eternal. The apostle says that the mission of
Christ is to "destroy the works of the devil." Truth destroys
falsity and error, for light and darkness cannot dwell together.
Light extinguishes the darkness, and the Scripture declares that
there is "no night there."
