SOUL.

- Section 1 -

Psalm 33:18-20
18 Behold, the eye of the Lord is
upon them that fear him, upon them
that hope in his mercy;
19 To deliver their soul from
death, and to keep them alive in
famine.
20 Our soul waiteth for the Lord:
he is our help and our shield.

***
Job 33:18-20
18 He keepeth back his soul from
the pit, and his life from perishing
by the sword.
19 He is chastened also with pain
upon his bed, and the multitude of
his bones with strong pain:
20 So that his life abhorreth
bread, and his soul dainty meat.

***
Matthew 11:28,29
28 #Come unto me, all ye that
labour and are heavy laden, and I
will give you rest.
29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn
of me; for I am meek and lowly in
heart: and ye shall find rest unto
your souls.

To-day, as oft, away from sin
Christ summons thee!
Truth pleads to-night: Just take Me in!
No mass for Me!

God leadeth us not into temptation, but delivereth us from sin, disease, and death.

there intelligence in matter?

ADAM = A product of nothing as the mimicry of something.

(Sense and pure Soul)
When reading the Scriptures, the substitution of the word
sense for soul gives the exact meaning in a majority of cases.

(Soul defined)
Human thought has adulterated the meaning of the word soul
through the hypothesis that soul is both an evil and a good
intelligence, resident in matter. The proper use of the word
soul can always be gained by substituting the word God, where
the deific meaning is required. In other cases, use the word
sense, and you will have the scientific signification. As used
in Christian Science, Soul is properly the synonym of Spirit, or
God; but out of Science, soul is identical with sense, with
material sensation.

196:11-15 Chapter 7: Physiology

Christmas Morn

Yet wherefore signalize the birth
Of him ne'er born?
What can rehearse the glorious worth
Of his high morn?

Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.

(Sin destroyed through suffering)
"Fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell,"
said Jesus. A careful study of this text shows that here the word
soul means a false sense or material consciousness. The command
was a warning to beware, not of Rome, Satan, nor of God, but of
sin.

85:23-26 Chapter 4: Christian Science versus Spiritualism

Chapter 4: Christian Science versus Spiritualism
The love of the good and beautiful, and their immortality.

Seeking and Finding.

What the Beloved knew and taught,
Science repeats,
Through understanding, dearly sought,
With fierce heart-beats;

Adorable One.

Cardinal point 1 - Column 1 - Extended

(Hypocrisy condemned)
Both Jew and Gentile may have had acute corporeal senses, but
mortals need spiritual sense. Jesus knew the generation to be
wicked and adulterous, seeking the material more than the
spiritual.

85:4 Chapter 4: Christian Science versus Spiritualism

(Scientific foreknowing)
This Soul-sense comes to the human mind when the latter yields
to the divine Mind.

72:13 Chapter 4: Christian Science versus Spiritualism

(Spirits obsolete)
Mortal belief (the material sense of life) and immortal Truth
(the spiritual sense) are the tares and the wheat, which are not
united by progress, but separated.
