- Section 1 -
I John 4:7,8,12,16,21
7 Beloved, let us love one another:
for love is of God; and every one
that loveth is born of God, and
8 He that loveth not knoweth not
God; for God is love.
12 No man hath seen God at any
time. If we love one another, God
dwelleth in us, and his love is
perfected in us.
16 And we have known and believed
the love that God hath to us. God is
love; and he that dwelleth in love
dwelleth in God, and God in him.
21 And this commandment have we
from him, That he who loveth God love
his brother also.
275:6 Chapter 10: Science of Being
Chapter 10: Science of Being
Divine Science understood
I thank Thee O Father,...
Thus olden faith's pale star now blends
In seven-hued white!
Life, without birth and without end,
Give us grace for to-day;
feed the famished affections.
point 3 - Column 3 - Extended
(Spirit the starting-point)
The starting-point of divine Science is that God, Spirit, is
All-in-all, and that there is no other might nor Mind, - that God
is Love, and therefore He is divine Principle.
256:7 Chapter 9: Creation
Chapter 9: Creation
Divine Science understood and acknowledged.
Christian Science Healing (2)
Forever present, bounteous, free,
Christ comes in gloom;
And aye, with grace towards you and me,
For health makes room.
Give us this day our daily bread.
point 4 - Column 3 - Extended
(No material creation)
Love, the divine Principle, is the Father and Mother of the
universe, including man.
140:4,25-27 Chapter 6: Science, Theology, Medicine
Chapter 6: Science, Theology, Medicine
The rights of woman acknowledged
morally, civilly, and socially.
Christmas Eve (2)
For heaven's Christus, earthly Eves,
By Adam bid,
Make merriment on Christmas eves,
O'er babe and crib.
Thy kingdom is come,
Thou art ever-present.
point 3 - Column 2 - Extended
(God invisible to the senses)
That God is a corporeal being, nobody can truly affirm. The
Bible represents Him as saying: "Thou canst not see My face; for
there shall no man see Me, and live." Not materially but
spiritually we know Him as divine Mind, as Life, Truth, and Love.
We shall obey and adore in proportion as we apprehend the divine
nature and love Him understandingly, warring no more over the
corporeality, but rejoicing in the affluence of our God. Religion
will then be of the heart and not of the head. Mankind will no
longer be tyrannical and proscriptive from lack of love, -
straining out gnats and swallowing camels.
The Christian Science God is universal, eternal, divine Love,
which changeth not and causeth no evil, disease, nor death.
