- Section 6 -
Life is, like Christ, "the same yesterday, and to-day, and
forever." Organization and time have nothing to do with Life.
468:25-6 Chapter 14: Recapitulation
Question 8. - What is Life?
ADAM = "dust to dust."
(Eternity of Life)
Question. - What is Life?
Answer. - Life is divine Principle, Mind, Soul, Spirit. Life
is without beginning and without end. Eternity, not time,
expresses the thought of Life, and time is no part of eternity.
One ceases in proportion as the other is recognized. Time is
finite; eternity is forever infinite. Life is neither in nor of
matter. What is termed matter is unknown to Spirit, which includes
in itself all substance and is Life eternal. Matter is a human
concept. Life is divine Mind. Life is not limited. Death and
finiteness are unknown to Life. If Life ever had a beginning, it
would also have an ending.
410:4 Chapter 12: Christian Science Practice
(Life eternal and present)
"This is life eternal," says Jesus, - is, not shall be; and

"This is life eternal, that they might know Thee, the only true

actual life of man; but mankind objects to making this teaching
245:32-6 Chapter 8: Footsteps of Truth
(Man reflects God)

formations can never be annihilated. Man is not a pendulum,
swinging between evil and good, joy and sorrow, sickness and
health, life and death. Life and its faculties are not measured by
calendars. The perfect and immortal are the eternal likeness of
246:27 Chapter 8: Footsteps of Truth
(True life eternal)
Life is eternal. We should find this out, and begin the
demonstration thereof. Life and goodness are immortal. Let us
then shape our views of existence into loveliness, freshness, and
continuity, rather than into age and blight.
247:15 Chapter 8: Footsteps of Truth
Immortal men and women are models of spiritual sense, drawn by
perfect Mind and reflecting those higher conceptions of loveliness
which transcend all material sense.
